2020 had been an eye opening year for me. I’ve been learning to become more self aware of myself as well as the things that are going on in the world we live in. I have also been learning how to let go of worries and fears by trusting in God and listening to my higher self. My spiritual journey as well as the events that have been happening in the world lately such as the civil unrest in the US and the global pandemic is what inspired me to create this project. I recorded the first song (Queens) one week after I released Genius Child, and I’ve been constantly working on it ever since. I have been making music for less than a year, so everything is still trial and error for the most part. But overall I’m happy with how this project turned out. Thank you to my family for believing in me. My short group of friends who have shown their support. The producers and fellow musicians who collaborated with me to make this project possible. The love of my life for not only writing a beautiful poem, but for also being by my side and uplifting me when I started to doubt myself. All of my influences and any black creative who’s art has inspired me in anyway shape or form. And lastly, I want to thank the most high for the tremendous amounts of blessings that I have received during this lifetime. I hope my art can be a source of positivity and healing during these hard times. I hope everyone is safe, happy, and healthy.
